Inconel and other nickel-based superalloys represent the most challenging materials in metal fabrication, demanding specialized knowledge, tooling, and procedures to work successfully. Look for shops with documented experience on your specific alloy, qualified welding procedures (typically to ASME Section IX or AWS D17.1 for aerospace), and appropriate quality certifications.
